ARRRR Me Maties…

It’s hard to believe that it be September 19th…ye all should be going to check out the official ‘talk like a pirate’ website. Another thing ye can do is go visit Facebook and change ye language to ‘pirate’ tis a great way to celebrate!

Hope all ye land lubbers have a great day!

It’s good to be home!

…today I arrived back home.

Here are two of the things I love about travelling.

1. the awesome things you see/experience while on the road.

2. coming back home, and sleeping in your own bed!

My house is kind of crazy…I’ve unpacked, sorted my laundry but there’s still a bit of chaos. I’m still a bit jet-lagged…and even though it’s not quite 9pm I feel the need to sleep.  So I’m going to keep this short and sweet.

In the last 3 days I’ve had 4 flights… my last flight yesterday was cancelled.  So I had a night in Iqaluit with friends which was a nice bonus.  This morning I flew home and then went back to work… It seems almost like a dream that I was in Paris only a few days ago.

I have so many photos and stories to share…but first I need to edit and collect my thoughts about my vacation.  Two weeks went by super fast…yet at the same time was such a restful amazing time!

But tonight one thing I’m glad for is jumping into my own bed…and hopefully I won’t wake up at 3am ready to start the day!  Have to love jet lag…

Wordless Wednesday XXVII: Night Sky…

Since it’s dark at night again… I went looking for northern lights.

Then saw a few ‘faint lights’…

Just before I went to bed… they came out a bit stronger!

…can’t wait to see them out!

Guest Post at Learning Titus 2…

Today I’m doing a guest post on my friend Lisa’s blog…”Learning Titus 2“. This past July during the ‘Great Canadian Blog Bash’ I donated a Nunavut Print to use as a giveaway.  During that week we both noticed how many people commented about what life would be like living up north.  So I decided to share some things that are a part of my every-day-life… some of these might be unique to northern living and others might be very similar to life in Southern Canada.

Click HERE to see my list of some of the day-to-day things that happen in my life which may or may not be different from living life in Southern Canada.

Thanks Lisa for the opportunity to be a guest blogger!

First Day of School…

Dear Benjamin…

I heard a rumour that it’s your FIRST DAY at Jr. Kindergarten!

Have a fantastic first day… It was fun seeing you this summer.

I can’t wait to hear all about your first day of school…

 Luv, Aunt Sarah
