One of my favourite shots from exploring Fraser Island, Australia in 2004. It’s getting close to the time I’m coming home…I really hope my vacation went as planned and I was able to have a bit of beach and sun adventures!

#FMSPhotoaDay- Week 4
Wow, a week of fun has flown by so fast having fun exploring here in Manila and Boracay. Even with all my travelling I was still able to share some snaps of my travels. I can’t wait to get home and process all my Canon 6D shots! But let’s not get ahead of myself– I still have 5 more days in the Philippines and travelling again this week to see another region!
Here was the list of prompts for week 4.
Day 19: homemade… I shared this snap of the quilt I’ve been working on for over a year! I just have to finish hand quilting the blocks–I have 7 out of 20 done. Can’t wait to get home and work on this project again.
Day 20: window… This shot was taken at the Manila Cathedral.
My runner up for day 20… From Fort Santiago- it was a dungeon window! Had to share both…
Day 21: in a row…took this photo while waiting for my flight to Boracay.
Day 22: collection of coral and shells!
Day 23: something far away…sailboats in the horizon.
Day 24: playtime… For these three brave souls on the reverse bungee!
Day 25: black + white… Just walking down the street singing with a baloon!
Another week of photos is done! Check out this Photo A Day list for Week 5. Play with me? #fmsphotoaday
Wordless Wednesday LVII: Big Sweater Lil Baby
In December I visited my friends in Toronto and met their new daughter who was about 8 weeks old. She was so adorable…oh new baby cuddles are the best!
I knit the sweater, and know that she’ll grow into it soon…for now it’s just a wee bit big, but fits if the sleeves were rolled up!
#FMSPhotoaDay 2015- Week 3
Another week of daily photos are done! This was my last week in Melbourne, Australia…and it was jam packed with lots of activities and fun. I did manage to keep up and take a photo-a-day. Though at times I almost forgot until the last minute to snap a shot!
Here’s the list from last week:
Day 12: bright…it was so bright out we all had to wear sunnies!!!
Day 13: lucky number…13 has always been my lucky number! Here’s 13 pieces of sea glass I picked up with my cousins the day before on a beach walk in St. Kilda.
Day 14: new…windows! Yahoo for the renovation process…
Day 15: old…windows!
Day 16: nature… Palm trees are so fun to look at!
Day 17: Jump… After a day of wine tasting in the Yara Valley, I asked my cousin to jump for me while we waited for the train home!
Day 18: Today is…the day I leave Australia, but still have 2 weeks of adventures in the Philippines!
That’s a wrap on another week!!! I’ll be playing along for week 4…but not 100% sure about my internet access while I’m visiting the Philippines…so might not post every day! If you want to play along here’s the list for week 4!
Party of 5…
My really good friends welcomed a daughter into their family this past fall and became a Party of FIVE! In December I visited their home in Toronto and met the newest addition. Over the past few years I’ve been able to take photos of their family documenting the changes that have happened. The last photo shoot we did was in June just before they moved south from Iqaluit.
This photo shoot was just a quick one done at their house, inside because of the winter weather outside!
Big brothers are clearly very happy to welcome their little sister into the family!
Baby Sofia is just the cutest little baby ever. She was 8 weeks old and so cuddly.
I can’t believe how much the boys have changed and grown in the 6months since I last saw them….why do kids grow so fast? Sometimes I wish I could just press the pause button…so life could slow down a bit.
It was so great to visit your family in Toronto. I can’t wait to see you next time I’m in town…hopefully the weather will be warmer, so we can enjoy some of the great parks near your neighbourhood!
