I have enjoyed this trip so much but like all good things it must come to an end. I will begin my cross Canada trip back tomorrow. I have made some great relationships with these crazy women and memories that will make me smile for years to come. Thank you ladies for an amazing trip. I love you all.
Tonight we are in Mayo. It reminds me of the line from Cody Banks where they have to give the password and it is mayo ao ao. We are at a great little campground that has free shower (just one but I managed to get in there) and free wifi if you sit in the right spot. We have been eating amazing food thanks to the fabulous Kara. Tonight we had caribou stir fry with rice. It was all I could do not to lick the bowl. And the best part is Prince Naveen hooked up with us for the ride! He is coming on our 5 km midnight sun run tomorrow. It is currently 10:46 and outside it looks like its 3 in the afternoon. I must admit I don’t miss this part of northern living.
As today is aboriginal day Kara made us all bannock to celebrate. She’s just awesome that way.
We are all finally together and it is surreal. I got in yesterday at 1215 and we have been on the go ever since. Currently Kara and I are sitting at our campsite as Sarah, Kennie and Jenn have embarked on a boat tour. We have seen some amazing sites so far and can’t wait to see the rest. Tonight’s adventures include the Yukon famous Toe Shots (lord help me on that one). More pictures to follow!!
After spending the night in Vancouver I am finally on the last stretch of being with the rest of the ravens. I saw jenn last night briefly and when I say “saw” that Is exactly it. She was on one side of security and I was on the other as she made her connection to Whitehorse and I remained here. Luckily I was able to stay in the airport itself and it has the Freemont hotel right inside.
This made the stay a little easier.
As did this.
Would have cost me almost 100.00 if I drank this. Needless to say all that is still in there.
So here I sit in Vancouver. I am currently sitting in the Fairmount Hotel looking out at the rocky mountains and about to take a bath and a nap. If an airline was going to screw up I am glad this was the result.
