About

This blog is just a glimpse into my life….

My name is Sarah. A friend a few years ago described me as having “a loud laugh,  short temper, wild side and always having a sparkle in my eye!!”

I spent most of my 20s & 30s moving around living in different places.  Exploring and finding new adventures seems to be in my blood.  I’ve developed this really amazing ability to be able to create a home wherever I find myself to be living!  Keeping connected to family and friends is extremely important to me and was one of the main reasons that I started to blog…

Photography has been a part of my life from an early age.  My dad gave me my first camera for my 8th birthday.  Since then I’ve been the one in my family that has been capturing family events on film.  After completing my Bachelor of Arts Degree I used some of my graduation-gift-money to purchase my first (film) SLR- a “Canon Rebel G”.  Six months later my camera and I travelled to Australia where we spent a year exploring and having adventures! Over the years I have come to realize that you can take beautiful photos with any camera… you don’t have to have the top of the line most amazing gear to capture a moment and create a beautiful image.  I now have a “Canon 6D” that I use for most of my photos… or my iPhone because they do the trick just fine! Don’t let what kind of gear you have stop you from experimenting and taking photos…

Thanks for dropping by and reading my blog. Please feel free to leave me a comment on a post to say hello, and let me know you’ve stopped by…

Cheers, Sarah

so you’re in Winnipeg now? A friend of mine lived there for a season a few years ago (her hubby, like my partner works for an airline that used to sub charter their aeroplanes in the Winter and work from Winnipeg as a base to fly to some of the places you visited)… He may even have flown you there!!

What an awesome blog! My husband spent a few weeks in Nunavut earlier this year doing contract work, he loved it. He grew up in Northern Manitoba, and always wanted to go to Nunavut…he can’t wait to go back again!

Sarah, beautiful pictures of the wedding. I remember another wedding we both attended in the Rocky Mountains many years ago at Fort Steele in Cranbrook. Remember that one? I really like your website, and the life philosophy that underpins it. In case you’re interested, I’ve attached a link to our family website that documents our trip around the world. Hope you find a moment to enjoy it.

…Thanks for your comment Barry! Great to hear from you…I can’t wait to go check out your website. Your family is on quite the adventure! I do remember heading west for that other wedding…I was just 12 (almost 13). It was an eye opening experience for sure…so many great memories of travelling across the country with my brothers and Gramma & Grandpa!
